Marina Wine’s owner Stuart Takehara is proud to host a fundraising event for two amazingly sweet and generous people, whom Stuart has been neighbors with for over 4 years. Proceeds from this night’s event will go to support Bryan and Casey, and will include live music featuring Paul Wayne. Come join us for a great night of wine, food, music, and to support these great people.
This good Christian family has endured very difficult times in the past 2 years due to a serious accident caused by an uninsured motorist, who knocked Bryan Barras off his motorcycle while commuting home in the Carpool Lane on the 405 Freeway in 2018.
Only an Army veteran like Bryan could have survived the accident. He was treated by the VA, and after months of rehabilitation, was able to move on with life.
Due to his injuries, Bryan could not continue his career as a Building Contractor and had to take sedentary employment as a Boys Home security guard.
In spite of this adversity, Bryan and Casey were able to meet their financial obligations. However, a prior theft of Casey’s vehicle, her only means of commuting to her job, and new unexpected medical and fire department bills from the accident in April 2018, once again threatened their financial equilibrium. The final topper was the theft of Bryan’s work truck this last weekend Jan 18 2020.
