Marina Wine and Craft Beer Bar is committed to providing an inclusive experience at our physical location and through our website. We want people with disabilities to be able to obtain information, review events, contact us, and use available account and membership services.
Our accessibility standard
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our current technical target. WCAG 2.2 also incorporates the Level A and AA requirements of WCAG 2.1. Accessibility is an ongoing practice, and this statement does not represent that every page or third-party service is free from every barrier.
August 2026 website update
In August 2026, we replaced the website’s legacy visual-builder presentation with an accessibility-focused WordPress theme. The update included:
- Semantic page landmarks, one primary page heading, logical heading structure, and a skip link to the main content.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, visible focus indicators, larger controls, and an Escape-key action for closing the mobile menu.
- Responsive layouts designed to reflow on phones and at enlarged text and zoom settings without requiring horizontal page scrolling.
- Higher-contrast text and controls, information that does not rely on color alone, and support for browser high-contrast settings.
- A pause control for the decorative homepage video and reduced-motion behavior that replaces motion with a still image.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful photographs and an accessible replacement for the legacy photo gallery.
- Removal of visible legacy page-builder code from the Gallery, Private Parties, and My Account experiences.
- A titled Google Calendar agenda frame with direct Google Calendar and iCal alternatives.
- Accessible labels and error presentation for forms and WooCommerce account functions supported by the active plugins.
Third-party content
Some functions are provided by third parties, including Google Calendar, Square, WordPress plugins, WooCommerce, and related account services. We do not control every aspect of those services, but we evaluate important customer paths, provide alternatives where practical, and work to address barriers we can identify.
Our ongoing work
We review new and updated content, maintain alternative text for images, test important navigation and customer processes, and prioritize repairs that prevent someone from accessing information or completing a task. Website and plugin changes may introduce new issues, so we welcome reports from visitors.
